Dave and Julianne were engaged in February 2020–then the world shut down! Unfortunately, they had once planned a BIG southern wedding in the bride’s hometown in Tennessee but didn’t move forward with it because of safety. Time passed and made them really reevaluate what was important to them on their wedding day, which ultimately led them to decide to go to Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort with their sweet parents and book a wedding photographer in Maui!
Dave and Julianne envisioned having a romantic Maui wedding in soft, tropical shades of the sunset, overlooking the bright blue Pacific Ocean in Maui. Andaz Maui weddings have a really great mix of being oceanfront and high end at the same time. With easy access to the beach as well as a beautifully maintained property, this property is a no-brainer when it comes to a hotel wedding.
First, the couple can get ready on property, which is a huge bonus. Guest rooms at the Andaz are some of the best on-island to take getting ready photos. Second, the natural light is insane and they are so simply designed. Third, no traveling between a getting ready spot and venue means that you get more time with your photography team.
This property is also super versatile. You can have your wedding in several amazing locations on the property! Not many oceanfront Maui wedding venues offer that.
Maui Elopement
The couple exchanged sweet and intimate promises to each other on a perfect Maui day, with warm trade winds and crashing ocean waves surrounding them. Bella Bloom brought the Maui sunset shades to life by artfully creating their wedding flowers in romantic shades of coral and pinks. The groom wore a suit in the perfect shade of beige that looked amazing against the blue ocean backdrop and Julianne absolutely stunned in her intricately beaded wedding gown. A scrumptious cake followed, complete with a champagne toast, catered by the incredible team at Andaz Maui.
After spending time capturing romantic couple’s photos around the picturesque property, the couple rejoined their parents for a romantic dinner under the stars at the beach front dinner cabana on the Morimoto Maui. Their dinner reception featured highly acclaimed celebrity chef Masaharu Morimoto, best known for Iron Chef and Iron Chef America. Morimoto uses locally sourced, season fresh ingredients from Hawaii to embark on a distinct culinary style that blends Western and Japanese traditions.; an absolutely perfect way to celebrate becoming husband and wife.
