Carmel Wedding Venues | La Playa Hotel | Liz and Vincent

I recently photographed a family friends wedding at one of the best Carmel wedding venues in Carmel-by-the-sea, La Playa Hotel. Carmel has become one of my favorite locations to photograph along the Monterey coast! I love the hotel’s romantic 1905 architecture, and garden style. Needless to say, Carmel is the kind of place that will wow your friends!

I’m talking Better Homes & Gardens stunning!

Liz’s mom has a stunning home right on the beach (I’m talking Better Homes & Gardens stunning). Not only was it the perfect space for getting ready with her girls, but also she and Vince honeymooned there directly after the wedding. What lucky ducks! 

Now let’s talk about the newly weds! If you couldn’t tell from the photo above, Liz and Vince met later in life. My favorite part of their wedding day was taking romantic couple portraits down on the sand of Carmel-by-the-sea. I was bummed the sun had already dipped behind the ever present Carmel clouds, but Vince was pleased. He said, “Our photos will reflect the real Carmel. Ominous and stormy.”

Liz and Vince’s wedding was extra special, and you could feel everyone’s excitement in the room! There wasn’t a dry eye as the couple shared their first dance, and then Liz’s kids joined in on the fun. It was a romantic celebration, and I am so happy I was able to be apart of their special day!
