Kevin + Faustine // Balboa Park Engagement Session, San Diego

September 15, 2020

Balboa Park Engagement | San Diego, California | Kevin + Faustine

I met Kevin and Faustine on a smoky summer evening in front of Spreckels Organ Pavilion for their Balboa Park engagement photos. This 1,200-acre urban park in San Diego features open space, natural plants, gardens and walking paths. Several museums, theaters and the San Diego Zoo also reside in the Balboa Park grounds. The beautiful architecture and landscaping make for stunning San Diego engagement photography, especially on sunny California days!

To kick things off, we found a corner of the pavilion uninhabited by the masses. During our session, a middle aged man carrying his baby girl started singing in the middle of the stage. It was a special moment, the audience (tired park visitors resting on the benches) all started clapping once he finished.

Due to COVID, all of the museums were closed, but we were able to wander through the grounds. Their sweet relative Mariah joined us and was a welcome cheerleader while Kevin and Faustine posed in front of a camera for the first time! They were such troopers with the high temps and smoky skies due to recent fires.

Looking forward to their colorful wedding in San Diego next year!
