San Clemente Wedding | Brooke + Robert
Brooke and Robert’s San Clemente wedding inspiration was intimate dinner party meets tropical Hawaiian vibes, and I’d say they nailed it. Brooke designed every little detail, even bringing in Hair by Holls to cut and style her hair, Fujihara Wholesale Flowers for her luscious, wild + tropical florals and turned the dining table into a rainforest of pineapples, greens, whites, and soft pink tones.

I have known Brooke since we were five and had just met Robert that day, but I have to say, together they’re warm, kind and full of light. In their day jobs, Brooke works in admin at a local high school + Robert is the teen director at the Boys and Girls Club; caring for people is what they do. Their whole wedding they spent all their time caring for their guests, adamant about attending cocktail hour and hanging with everyone. LOVE THAT SO MUCH.
Without a doubt, I am always encouraging people to go to cocktail hour if they want to spend one on one time with guests. It’s the perfect mingling time since the rest of the reception is a lot of tradition and goes by SO fast.
Robert’s mom is from France so she prepared a very special toast to honor Robert’s grandparents from France. This was a special wine from their wine cave, paired with some foie gras.
Obviously, I was over the moon when she asked me to photograph her intimate backyard San Clemente wedding! Only their immediate family was invited and everyone helped with decorations. She even invited me to sit at the table and eat dinner with them! HOW SWEET!
