Wedding Photographer in California | Hidden Acres Wedding Venue
Nestled in the hills of Lytle Creek, California you will find a charming venue called Hidden Acres on 22 acres of beautiful landscape complete with lakes, creeks, meadows, and incredible views. As a wedding photographer in California, I’m still surprised how many venue varieties we have in our state! Aliza + Eri decided this was the perfect venue to host their wedding. Let me just start out by saying their traditional Pakistani outfits were incredible.
Pakistani Wedding Traditions
Eri is dressed in a traditional velvet embroidered shawl and the bride wears a “Lehnga”. The majority of brides select red as the color of their wedding dress to symbolize love, but let’s be honest, it makes a bold statement! In addition, Aliza was adorned with heavy jewelry and bangles. Also, her hands were covered in intricate henna.
California Wedding Details
First, an incredible color palette of maroon, gold, pink, and black had everyone in awe. This wedding was all about community and family. One of Aliza’s biggest requests was to have lots of photos of her bridal party in her final gallery.
Obviously, the entire team worked so hard in creating such a beautiful backdrop and really set the tone for this wedding. There was a serious party afterwards! When I say serious, I mean sparklers shooting up towards the starry sky and dancing. Oh and let’s not forget the bride dancing towards the end of the post!
Aliza and Eri, your wedding was incredible! Enjoy looking at this little sneak peek into your day! We can’t wait to share the rest with you!
Jutta chupai (stealing of grooms shoe for money tradition)
As most couples in Pakistan tradition didn’t know each other prior to the wedding, the sisters and friends will arrange games to break the ice, one example is stealing the Groom’s shoes and demanding sum of money for their return. The bantering and fun allows the couple to bond quicker.
